Is Khamenei Dead?

Pajama Media says the Supreme Ruler of Iran (Supreme Ruler is a title, it does not refer to the President who is actually more of a “spokesman”), Ayatollah Khamenei is dead.

A source close to Pajamas Media has learned that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has apparently succumbed to the cancer that hospitalized him last month, as exclusively reported by Pajamas Media, at age 67. He has been Iran’s most powerful figure since replacing Ayatollah Khomeini in the role of Supreme Leader in 1989.

This is going to be interesting. The new Supreme Ruler will be elected by the Assembly of Experts (the body’s only real power) and a new Assembly of Experts was elected on December 15th, in a vote which saw many “moderates” (the term is used loosely) take seats and which was seen as a defeat for Amadinejad.

“It works on any Ayatollah! Even as we speak, Ayatollah Razmara and his cadre of fanatics are consolidating their power!”
